Canadian Black Friday shoppers will continue to gamify the Season in 2019, opting to postpone buying when they feel the ‘deal’ is lacklustre. Our 2018 DIG360 – Leger study found that 40% of buyers of Black Friday deals had postponed purchases to find the deal they wanted. We also found that Canadians rated Black Friday deals a lukewarm 6.4 out of 10.0, down from 2017.
This growing trust gap between consumers and the retail industry should be of concern to leaders. (Thanks @MarinaStrauss)
